In the late 80s, I worked at a record store in East Lansing, Michigan. My manager used to place index cards with different proverbs or sayings on a display that lived on the checkout counter. They were updated roughly every week. I was going through some old boxes last week and was thrilled to find a stack of these old cards. My intention is to post these here at about the same frequency as they appeared on that display more than 30 years ago.
We have two ears and two eyes, but one tongue, in order that we may see and hear twice as much as we speak.
