AI made polished summaries cheap.
That is good for formatting. It is bad for proof.
A strong engineer can now look polished in an afternoon. Clean headline. Sharp summary. Sensible project bullets. Nice phrasing. None of that is hard anymore.
The problem is that polish used to do more proof work than it does now. It suggested care. It suggested judgment. It suggested maybe this person was stronger than the average candidate rushing out another profile.
Not anymore.
Now polish is the baseline. And baseline is a terrible place to build credibility.
If you want real signal, you need something that holds up when someone leans in. Real work. Real thinking. Real tradeoffs. Something that still makes sense when the next question comes.
That is where most engineer profiles still fall apart.
They summarize. They do not prove.
They tell you where someone worked. What stack they used. What they shipped. Maybe even what level they reached. Then the real questions start. What was hard? What changed because of them? How do they think? Can they explain the tradeoffs without collapsing into buzzwords?
A polished summary cannot carry that load anymore.
A better proof surface can.
That is the gap I am building Explore for.
Explore is for engineers first. It helps them show real work more clearly instead of flattening it into a safer, tidier summary. It is readable by humans and usable by agents. It is built to stand up to follow-up, not hide from it.
