Holy Shit This Is Fun

James’s HEY terminal screenshot with “Holy shit this is fun” typed in a draft, above an Omarchy desktop background.

I opened HEY in the terminal, and it felt like a breath of fresh air.

There was something wonderfully refreshing about moving through email from the keyboard. The whole experience felt fast, focused and surprisingly pleasurable. It also fitted naturally into the way I was already working in Omarchy.

The part that felt like a bigger step forward was having HEY available to agents through the command line too.

I had only just started exploring what that might mean for my own workflow, and I was not trying to predict all of it yet.

For that first exploration, I was enjoying something much simpler. I could move through my email in the terminal, and the agents I worked with could meet me there.

It felt coherent, calm and fresh.

Sometimes a new capability does not need a grand explanation. You open it, begin moving around, and immediately feel that something has shifted.

This is very cool.
