Why Pure Volume Control?

I downloaded macOS Tahoe just one day before the official release, and something immediately felt wrong for me.

In macOS Sequoia, the volume control appeared at the bottom center of your active screen, right where your eyes already were. Perfect when you’re focused on your work (coding, writing, designing…).

But in macOS Tahoe, it’s now tucked away at the top right. On a laptop it’s fine, but on a big 5K or 6K display? Not so much.

That’s why I built Pure Volume Control.

In just 4 hours, I had a prototype running, clean, fast, and exactly where I wanted it.

Then I added something even better: when you press the volume button on your keyboard, the volume control appears on all your screens. Simple, but it makes a huge difference.

And yes, it’s all wrapped in a beautiful liquid glass window.

Pure Volume Control is a tiny, focused tool, built to fix something Apple broke, IMHO.

If you love it, I’ll keep adding more cool features.

Download it, try it, and let me know what you think.
I’d love to hear from you.

Try it now on the App Store → Pure Volume Control
