I went for a walk the other night and I thought about how I’ve been so focused on what could potentially happen in my life, that I haven't taken the time to enjoy the holiday season! I was kinda disappointed in myself because I genuinely look forward to the months of November and December every year.
From here on out, I'll aim to enjoy the holiday cheese as much as I can haha. 🧀
Have you gotten lost in the sauce recently? If so, how did you take a step back and catch yourself?

Quote of the Week
“Stress is a symptom of being here but wanting to be there.” Dan Murray - This quote really resonated with me when I read it. I’m here right now, but these last few months, I’ve been feeling like I want to be somewhere else. I laugh at myself sometimes because I know these things are not worth stressing over, yet I fall into the trap time and time again. Nothing happens before it's time.
Enjoy the ride because as soon as we get what we want, we want something else.

Articles I’ve enjoyed this week
The Prescience of 1970’s ‘Future Shock’ - Modern technology has done so much for us, both good and bad. I thought Kara’s optimistic angle on what tech will do in the future, while acknowledging what it’s doing to us today is worth a look. “That’s why I would rather not rely on the present mess to predict the future. On the horizon are massive changes in transportation (fully autonomous vehicles and truly useful drones), health (extensive gene-editing and augmented bodies), decision making (super artificial intelligence and edge computing) and, yes, robots too. Some of these will make our lives better and some will just make the lives of technologists better.”
Hundreds of Ways to Get S#!+ Done—and We Still Don’t | WIRED - Really cool article. I feel like at the end of the day, it's not about the apps we use to get things done, it's the systems we put in place on a daily basis that will move the needle.
Lets catchup again soon eh? 🕺🏿
