Traveling Village Trip update

We’re already about to leave Vietnam and it feels like we just got here! In the last 5 weeks, we’ve met most of the village for the first time, we’ve explored Da Nang and Hoi An, had 10 communal meals together and been able to figure out some semblance of a routine. Nritya and I are in a lot better shape physically thanks to a little something called peer pressure (and being lucky enough to have superstar workout peers conducting mini-trainings).

Now, we’re about to leave for Cambodia where I’ll get to fulfill a childhood dream of mine to visit Angkor Wat. I used to build this wonder in Civilization 4 and now I’m going to see it! We saw a related temple complex called My Son a couple of weeks ago and relating everything else that was happening when Angkor Wat was being built tickles my brain. For example, Europe was going through its Gothic phase with Notre Dame and the Hoysalas of South India were building Belur and Halebid.
