I just upgraded my PopOS PC to Cosmic and everything looks awesome until I try to tell my friend about it in Thai. The input source changing with the typical SUPER + Space does not do anything!
It seems like they are planning to work on it. I guess it's a perk of using alpha software.
But fear not! The reason why we use Linux is because we can actually make anything work!

PopOS cosmic is debian based and is using `xkeyboard-config` to configure input sources. The configuration file is located at
~/.config/cosmic/com.system76.CosmicComp/v1/xkb_config
There is some default setup there and we can add an option to use `ctrl + space` to switch the input sources instead by updating the file with this content
( rules: "", model: "", layout: "us,th", # I'm using us english and thai keyboard layouts variant: ",", options: Some("grp:ctrl_space_toggle"), # you can change this to whatever you want )
The option available for shortcuts are listed here.
You should now be able to toggle the input sources!
สุดยอดไปเลย!
However, the UI on the activity bar won't change which is sad but at least I can tell my friend about it.
Until next time!
