Christmas Advent Calendars Day 02

My Bluesky account is at:  https://bsky.app/profile/kuron.bsky.social

Ole' Kuron has been opening seven different boxed Advent Calendars and has been doing four different creative ones.  Please be sure to check it out every day to see what new things are revealed.

Today, I am NOT doing a write up of the gemstones due to it being a chakra bracelet with seven different stones on it.  These are all stones that will be covered individually over the coming days.  Beautiful bracelet, so if you haven't seen the picture on my Bluesky account, check it out.  So, just the stories today.

Reindeer – Sleighs and Snowy Adventures - Mini Story

A snowy forest sparkled as Clara’s sleigh glided over fresh powder, pulled by a single reindeer. Beside her, a tiny kitten peeked from a red scarf, purring warmly. Suddenly, they found a lost bag of gifts. Together, they delivered it to a village, the kitten earning a shiny bell for its collar.

Reindeer – Sleighs and Snowy Adventures - Short Story

Clara adjusted her woolen hat as the sleigh’s runners glided over the snow, the crisp air nipping at her cheeks. The jingling of a single brass bell echoed through the quiet forest, tied to the collar of a small reindeer named Comet. Beside her, a tiny kitten nestled in a fold of her red scarf, its emerald eyes peeking out inquisitively.
The forest was magical tonight. Moonlight painted the snow in silver, and the air smelled of pine and frost. Clara had set out from her cabin earlier, intending only to deliver cookies to her neighbor, but an unexpected adventure had other plans for her.

Halfway through her journey, a curious sight caught her eye—a burst of color against the snow. She tugged on Comet’s reins, slowing the sleigh.

“What’s that, Paws?” she asked the kitten, who stretched its little neck to see. Clara stepped off the sleigh, her boots crunching softly, and uncovered a small sack partially buried in the snow. She brushed it off, revealing a bright red velvet bag embroidered with golden stars.

“It looks like Santa’s bag,” she whispered in awe.

The kitten meowed, as if urging her to look inside. Clara opened the sack cautiously and gasped. It was filled with wrapped presents, each bearing a tag with a child’s name from the nearby village. The bag must have fallen from Santa’s sleigh.

“We have to return these!” Clara exclaimed. She climbed back into the sleigh, placed the sack securely beside her, and wrapped the scarf more snugly around Paws.

“Ready, Comet? Let’s play Santa’s helpers tonight!”

Comet snorted as if in agreement, his tiny hooves finding purchase in the snowy path. Clara urged him forward, and they sped toward the village, the stars above twinkling as though cheering them on.

As they approached the first cottage, Clara noticed a warm light glowing from within. She gently stopped the sleigh, scooped up a present marked “Maggie,” and crept toward the door. Paws followed, hopping through the snow, his tiny tail twitching with excitement. Clara placed the gift carefully on the doorstep, then tapped the door with a stick before retreating to the shadows.

A child’s squeal of delight rang through the frosty night as Maggie opened the door to find her surprise. Clara beamed, her heart swelling with warmth.

They repeated this at every house in the village, with Comet patiently waiting and Paws occasionally batting at the ribboned packages. Each time a door opened and joy spilled into the night, Clara felt the true spirit of Christmas wrap around her like a cozy blanket.

As they delivered the final gift, Clara looked up at the sky and saw a faint streak of light—a sleigh and reindeer disappearing into the horizon. A deep, jolly laugh echoed faintly, and Clara smiled, knowing Santa had seen their efforts.

When they returned to the cabin, the sack was empty, but Clara’s heart was full. She lifted Paws, who purred contentedly, and kissed his little head.

“You were the best helper tonight, Paws,” she said, as Comet nuzzled her hand. She noticed something sparkling in the kitten’s collar—a tiny golden bell.

“From Santa,” she murmured, her eyes twinkling with joy. And as they settled in for the night, Clara, Comet, and Paws drifted off, dreaming of snowy adventures and the magic of Christmas.

That is all for today.  See everybody tomorrow!
