Changing mind for a changing reality

From Taylor Pearson..

One of the great disservices of the modern educational system is that it trains us to follow instructions instead of educating us to write the instructions.

It trains us to seek certainty instead of learning to manage and benefit from uncertainty.

However, It's the marketer that discovers the channel early when it's uncertain that gets the best returns, not the one that looks for the "proven strategy."

As the world moves faster and faster, we don't need more formulas.

We need to improve our ability to change our minds based on a changing reality, and in so doing turn uncertainty into opportunity and ambiguity into advantage.

In the words of James Carse, "To be prepared against surprise is to be trained. To be prepared for surprise is to be educated."

How then can we educate ourselves instead of training ourselves?

How can we make ourselves the person that discovers the new marketing channel or the undervalued stock instead of the one simply following instructions?
