No decision is final

When I first started my investing journey, I was constantly reminded by FIRE community that time in the market is better than time the market. Eventually it became something I firmly believed in. I used to be cynical when folks were attempting to enter the market at a specific price. To me, that was a silly move because there is a cost to waiting and often or not, analysis paralysis kicks in especially for people who are still young in their investing journey.

However Freedom Traders offer a different view - time the market so you can lock in profits early and minimise risk when you have capital tied in the market.

Both has its merits. Often it depends on your risk appetite and investing style. The latter is informed by your preferred lifestyle.

Also that investment philosophy can evolve.

You could decide on a strategy and flip to another or have both in a parallel track.

As Daniel Vassallo had said,  "No decision is final."
