Hello, Friends, family, followers, whoever you may be!
For a long time now, I've bene planning to start a new blog. I wanted something fresh, something new and something positive. So here we are. A brand new start. I'm both excited and nervous at the prospect of starting something new but I know once I break past that apprehension, I'll be fine.
In the many months since my last blog ended, a few things have happened. Back in September, I unexpectedly lost my Nan. The emotions I went through with that were some of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with. Learning to live without her has been so tough and it will continue to be tough as I miss her more and more each day. Grief is so strange. It never truly goes away, time just teaches you how to live with it. My Nan was such a role model to me and she was always so kind and generous. I hope you're doing okay up there Nanny.
After the loss of my Nan, it was clear that my Grandad would not be able to look after himself. So after many challenging moments, we decided to place him in the best possible care (I'm not being biased here at all) for those who don't know, I'm a care assistant at a care home for people with dementia which is where my Grandad currently is. He's being very well looked after and I cannot begin to put into words how grateful I am for that.
I have also moved out since my last blog post. WITH MY BOYFRIEND. Yes I pus that in capitals but only because of how happy I am. He truly makes me feel so loved and so cared for. Independent living on the other hand? It sucks to pay bills. But I'm glad I finally done something with my life.
The main focus on this blog is reading and writing. Mainly my own writing. From time to time, I may throw in a book review (I quite enjoy those) and I may also sneak in my other personal hobby which is video gaming. I truly have no idea where I would be without all this. video gaming, writing and reading have helped me through such tough times in my life and I'm so grateful to the people who I have met along the way whilst I discovered these hobbies.
I'm not sure when my next one of these will be. It depends on my time schedule but I'm hoping it will be soon! Hope everyone is doing good out there!
