Writing Doubts

For a good while now, I haven't written anything. Not a single word. My writing seemed to have dried up to the point, I was in serious danger of dehydrating. There are many reasons behind why this has happened. Not enough time, too exhausted from work, moving out last year, getting settled, having serious doubts about myself and whether or not I was actually any good at this stuff. I'm still struggling a lot with self confidence. I find it so hard to believe in myself most days. It's a daily battle but I get through it. Maybe one day I'll have some proper confidence in myself and what I can do.

But then I guess every writer has gone through that at some point. Most writers will tell you that when they first started out they weren't sure or they tried to get something submitted but ended up failing. That's no reason to give up though. No matter how many struggles you may face, you never give up.

And so I continued. I continued to stare anxiously at a blank document until the words finally came to me. I am very excited about where my latest story will be taking me. I have some vague ideas what I want to do but sometimes I never truly know what's going on until I write. That's the most exciting part for me. Sometimes it isn't until I get something down on paper that I think, oh that could be good!

My latest story differently has a different feel to it. I'm adopting a slightly different method to this once compared to my others. So let's see where this one goes. Who knows what will happen? Maybe in my next post I'll give a little sneak peak.

As I'm writing this at Easter, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Easter who celebrates it. I hope your day is filled with chocolate and happiness.
