In your account settings change your main language you the target language. That’s it.

You’ve now got a pleasant, supportive multilingual tutor that will discuss any topic for as long as you want. 

Don’t like how it’s behaving? Just ask it to do something different. You can use the custom instructions to define exactly how you want your language tutor to behave. 

It’s not perfect, things like poor pronunciation or lots of background noise can cause havoc. However, it’s unbelievably good for something that wasn’t designed for this use case (although  as LLMs were initially developed for translation, in a round about way it was).

Pro tip: at the end of the conversation, ask it to create flash cards for you to address the things you struggled with.
