I just read 100 ways to slightly improve your life and was inspired to make some additions, here’s another 20:
- Ask your neighbors for a favor so you can return a favor for them later.
- Don’t check your phone for the first 30 minutes after you wake up.
- Wash dishes by hand without music. Did it become enjoyable?
- Bake a dessert and bring it to a friends house.
- Go for a run without a watch to track your distance or pace.
- Spend an extra couple of minutes in the shower.
- Listen to a song that you and an ex had a shared memory with.
- Send your parents a photo you’ve taken in the past week from your daily life.
- Pet a cat in the street.
- Pick up a book you want to read and read a page. See if you keep reading after the first page.
- Delete a digital book that you’ve started but haven’t finished and feel guilty for.
- Find a new wallpaper background for your phone.
- Look at your calendar for the next month and find something you’re excited about. Enjoy the anticipation.
- Cancel a subscription.
- Pick some fruit from a local neighborhood
- Get up early and go for a run before work, routines aren’t set in stone.
- Pull up a video that you know will make you laugh.
- Do a small favor for someone in your life
- Walk a different route when going to somewhere familiar.
- Buy a new dessert from the grocery store.
