120 ways to slightly improve your life - Friday Thing #20

I just read 100 ways to slightly improve your life and was inspired to make some additions, here’s another 20:

  1. Ask your neighbors for a favor so you can return a favor for them later.
  2. Don’t check your phone for the first 30 minutes after you wake up.
  3. Wash dishes by hand without music. Did it become enjoyable?
  4. Bake a dessert and bring it to a friends house.
  5. Go for a run without a watch to track your distance or pace.
  6. Spend an extra couple of minutes in the shower.
  7. Listen to a song that you and an ex had a shared memory with.
  8. Send your parents a photo you’ve taken in the past week from your daily life.
  9. Pet a cat in the street.
  10. Pick up a book you want to read and read a page. See if you keep reading after the first page.
  11. Delete a digital book that you’ve started but haven’t finished and feel guilty for.
  12. Find a new wallpaper background for your phone.
  13. Look at your calendar for the next month and find something you’re excited about. Enjoy the anticipation.
  14. Cancel a subscription.
  15. Pick some fruit from a local neighborhood
  16. Get up early and go for a run before work, routines aren’t set in stone.
  17. Pull up a video that you know will make you laugh.
  18. Do a small favor for someone in your life
  19. Walk a different route when going to somewhere familiar.
  20. Buy a new dessert from the grocery store.
