Ille-et-Vilaine (Bretagne, France)
Now that time is coming to an end and we are leaving Brittany after 5 months, I have to come to terms with the fact that not everything went smoothly and that I can't set off with stories filled with wonder. I have to leave behind what could not be fulfilled. That is difficult.
On top of that, after a certain amount of time, the desire for the other revives. We've been without a permanent home for three years now. And that's exactly what I long for the most at the moment. Traveling becomes an effort. The longing to arrive is very strong. It fills my thoughts and the thoughts become feelings that are sometimes hard to bear.
We're going to the sea one more time, that's what we both need. To hear the sound once again, feel the wind and smell the scent of the water in the air. To go back to the beginning, to stay where we were months ago. A farewell that holds a reunion in store.
At some point in the not too distant future, we will be here again. We have come to stay, even if we have to leave again first. What we take with us are memories of the sea, hikes and the endless starry sky. No big wonders, just small but precious stories.
