Wiesmoor (Germany)
This is over, forever. That's the overwhelming conclusion after four weeks in Jablonec. It was the first accommodation we stayed in for a second time. It looks like it will be the last time.
The first week was the best, everything felt new and yet so familiar. It was like falling in love, only the beauty was there. But that ended quickly, as it often does. The sobering realization came the second week.
It had a lot to do with the noise that never seemed to stop. It was coming from somewhere, always in new guises and varying in volume. In the morning, it was cars passing by. At noon, construction. In the evening, roaring motorcycles. And at night, especially at night, music from the building across the street.
By the fourth week, we just wanted to leave.
It's a shame it turned out this way. I loved being in a place like this. The big living room with all the space that was never crowded. The individual rooms you could go to and close the door behind you. The little garden with its own entrance.
So much beauty, but no peace. Unfortunately.
And now, 8 hours later and 730 kilometers away. Another country and somehow another world. A new beginning. A new phase. Let's see what it brings.
