The Week No. 003

Week 26, 2023

A week in Plounévez-Moëdec (France).

This small kind of a newsletter doesn’t look consistent right now. I am just figuring out what works best for me. This means, what kind of information should I put in. Do I write a lot? Do I just through some bullet points in? I am not quite sure. We’ll see.

In the next couple of weeks there will be going out some versions. But I want to stick with it and do it on a regular basis, even if I feel the need to quit. And this is quite often. Maybe this is the nature when starting something new. You are drawn back to your old behavior due to a lack of practice. The old habits are strong.

I don’t know where this is going, I never had a plan for it or a purpose. It was an impulse, that made me start. I listened to a podcast with Tim Ferris, where he was a guest and he mentioned that he is writing a newsletter with five topics every week. This idea hit me immediately and I decided to start something similar, something like a weekly picture of what I‘ve done, where I have been and what I have experienced.

So, let’s dive in last weeks topics:
  • What’s NEW in Nomadland
  • Hikes and Walkes
  • Visitis in Brittany
  • Interesting Quotes

Things in Nomadland

At the end of the week we‘ve changed our location. We left Brittany (France) and went East, but still in France. This was our third location. We are changing locations every month. This is the kind of Nomad Life we are currently living. We loved it so much in Brittany, that we will come back one day. Sooner than later, we hope.

One of the main things we are doing is exploring the area where we are staying. This means going out on hikes or walks, visiting cultural heritage’s like old villages or Menhirs (stone formations from an very old period), and living a day to day life with remote work, going shopping and relaxing.

Hikes and Walkes

We hiked this week 29,4 km in 11 hours.

  1. We hiked the Les Sentiers de Ploumanac’h in Ploumanac’h — 11,2 km in 4 h 25 min
  2. We walked at the Sillon de Talbert in Pleubian — 6 km in 2 h
  3. We hiked the Les Falaises de Trédrez-Locquémeau in Trédrez-Locquémeau — 12,2 km in 4 h 45 min

Visits

We visited the Vallée des Saints in Carnoët. This was the second time we‘ve been there. It‘s amazing.

Quotes

Hearing Phil helps me understand that we all have an inner struggle. What's inside us, no matter what the performance is. But whether this struggle drives our success or failure, it doesn't mean we're broken. It means we're human. From the Podcast Twenty Thousand Hertz, Episode: Breath Deep
