As we enter a period of reflection for the year that is coming to a close that often comes with the Holiday season I wanted to share a simple, yet effective, lesson that we too often have to learn and re-learn.
Sometimes it's the smallest things, like a good meal with friends, that can inject some perspective and joy into life when joy seems difficult to find. Seek out these moments in times of struggle and stress.
This is one of those things that when said out loud seem tautological. "Well duh" seems to be my internal response when I vocalize reminders like this into the world. The true problem is that even though it may seem so obvious, it's these obvious lessons that get forgotten when we need them the most.
Call your friends, have a good meal, and feel that much better afterwards.
