I bought myself a dot journal, because I liked the dots. Seemed great for writing, sketching, and drawing maps for Dungeons and Dragons! But then it mentioned all these tips for Bullet Journaling in the front (I got the Otto Dot Journal from Officeworks - blue one, obviously). So, of course I had to read about it more. I'm the last person in the world to discover Bullet Journals, but have been giving it a go for the last fortnight, and it's made me a bit more organised. Organised enough to try for a regular blog post, thanks to hey.com/world/
I don't know what this is going to be. The internet fills me with anxiety and dread, so if it seems like this blog ignores the world being on fire, that's a conscious choice. Doesn't mean I don't care! I do, which is why I'm trying to catalogue the things I've achieved, what interests me, and other positive things.

Running
I joined the Strava challenge to run 100km in May, and just scraped through on Monday, the last day of May. Chuffed that over a couple of months I worked from doing 5km runs up to 10km, being careful and gradual and doing the right stretches and exercises to minimise pain or injury, and by gosh it's been going great! *touch wood*.
I did another 10km run on Wednesday, but (not meaning to sound more braggy) got my 2nd Pfizer vaccination that day, and it's knocked me around a bit, so not another run until the weekend at least.
Next challenge is to run to the top of Mount Ainslie! It seems very steep though.

Animation?
Was doing a clean out last week, and came across an old DVDRW drive, and bags of old CDs, so I installed the drive into the PC, and started checking the CDs/DVDs for things to keep. I found my old animations from when I did my Diploma of Screen at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment in Canberra, way back in 2004-05.
Here it is -you no-one asked for it! Rocketman!

So of course I've installed Blender, again, and started the donut tutorial, again. Hopefully it's not the last time I talk about my Blender adventures.

YouTubes
Been watching a lot of TTRPG Actual Plays, and the latest one is New Game, Who Dis? by the Glass Cannon Network. Funny people, good production values, and the first game they're playing is Cyberpunk Red, and I'm all about the Cyberpunks lately! Speaking off...
Books
Just finished the classic Neuromancer by William Gibson. I thought I'd read it 20-30 odd years ago, but I remembered nothing. Man, what a great writer. So evocative! That dang first line, "The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel". It moved so quick, I got lost quite often, but, loved it. On to Count Zero now, the next in The Sprawl series.

The final cat pic
So, that's it for my return to blogging. Hopefully it's not the first and last one I post. Making it up as I go along, but The final cat pic seems like the best way to end each post. So, here he is. A very good boy. Until next time?
Fond regards,
Matt.
