This was a short ride day -- my main goal was getting over to Atlanta to visit my former co-worker, Daphne.
I did something unusual for me, especially in a state I don't know: I started the trip out with no GPS running! I knew where my first stop would be: Buc-ee's gas station. I've written about Buc-ee's before: it's got a forest of pumps and its convenience store could be a small grocery. It was fun to visit one again. They even had a cute statue out front with the Buc-ee's mascot.
The hotel let me get an early check-in, which I appreciated, and then Daphne picked me up and we went and saw a waterfall up in the hills further northeast of the city.
After that, we had some dinner at a complex that had a ton of outdoor activity going on -- a band, a lot of kids playing, etc. Fun place and nice to be able to be outside!
