Achievement Gap

Plqceholder . To discuss , when you are not being productive , this is achievement gap. Doesnt feel great. Stressful to not be productive. And how writing and i believe and activity where you cqn control your own thinking, cqn help qllieviate the pain of not working.

Does the mind stop racing when you write? Is access to our minds the biggest barrier to some next-level thinking? Basically, this is what people describe as enlightenment? I was writing about this memento effect, before, here  https://world.hey.com/michal.piekarczyk/my-memento-ec3de11a . And maybe big picture thought (Nir Eyal), mind inbox zero (Naval Ravikant), we should call this perhaps,   😂 “MACRO POLO”? because you are constantly trying to see the high level of your existence, but you are doing it with your eyes closed and it’s a moving target.

Oh, how about the “Achievement Gap,” as like, your “off time.” So I was just at a crazy relaxing place last month,  The Standard Spa,  in Miami , and yea, stereotype, it’s hard to disconnect, like hard to “focus” context switch. I was mostly in work mode.

Maybe for a day and a half, I agreed to "switch off". I like this alternative Cal Newport gave recently about, you don’t try cabin b/c cabin fever, lock yourself away, too much pressure. Small doses works better for me too.

=> We pay for clarity, but very hard to use it. Today I finally tried this Yamaha piano learn sight-reading software, "Piano Marvel",, I thought it was potentially awesome, but no way to slow down when sight reading. Too rushed. Same with your thought sometimes. There was another one, "Flow Key", I tried too, which “lets you wait.” It’s good (but small detail). I don’t like that it moves. I want O.G. (old generation ) DIY eye tracking, not page moves for you.

So, overwhelm then, I think, is sort of, you have information overload, cannot capture it all, you feel under waterfall. But sort of if you clear your mind, the silence is fine. The problem isn’t going anywhere; you can solve it later.

=> Feels like, similar to “sunk cost,” which is not cashing in your attention spent, but not actively thinking/doing the “perfect time allocation problem.” This is up Oliver Burkeman alley. But I get it, it’s like “productivity pressure” builds up whenever you are resting. But paradox, b/c  you need that off time, like Barbara Oakley style, to let your brain synthesize.

Rest => yea if LeBron James embracing it, as the walk calmly player. Maybe like reminder it is not a sprint; it is a marathon.
