Maybe prior to trying out Cursor , thought I would try to predict what would happen.
How is Cursor different?
Haven't tried it yet, but I understand it will be a co-editor, unlike with ChatGPT, on the side, which to me feels my like duck programming (slight pair programming too).

Think chatgpt has made cranking out code sometimes faster , though similar to stack overflow i still have found i have to do evaluate any new concepts on a sgell on the side to better understand the moving parts.
Predicting with Cursor , you get more of the GPS experience
Getting you get where youre going faster perhaps at the cost of lower retention.
Just a hypothesis.
Just a hypothesis.
Probably more bugs?
If you are doing the typing, you have more control, to decide what goes in. But if code is edited for you, perhaps you are inclined to trust by default?
So more hallucinations, more debugging later?
Grit?
Getting unstuck on your own is a valuable skill IMHO, so the less we rely on the escape hatch , the more self reliance we retain and more sense of accomplishment we feel, I think.
