There is no chicken and egg. Its just cold starts and bootstraps. Thats the meaning of "you have to solve a problem before you can solve a problem."

Put that on your vision statement. 

Like, you have to stop eating if you want to be less hungry. (Fasting)

You have to exert effort to be less tired (fitness)

You have to learn to listen before anyone wants to hear you (communication).

Some of this sounds like "you have to crawl before you can walk" , perhaps.
