Pretty crafty, there was a "for the people" street closure on a long stretch of road near me recently, so there was q fun run and bikes could use it too.

Later i noticed oh hmm, many parts were freshly paved too  😮. I wonder, maybe if the paving , which I realized they had done early in the day , before the "open to all" part, was the goal along, and letting people free ride later, was a way to balance out what would hqve otherwise been a "street closed today " meh event.
