What Is a VPN?

What do we use them for? What is the best? Let’s see why they are important and what options you have.

VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, and the feature image (a tunnel) describes what they are. You start on one side of the tunnel and end on the other side, in less abstract words you appear to be in location B but you’re really in location A.

This is useful for businesses to ensure that employees can connect to the Company servers. In the mainstream spectrum, VPNs provide great advantages to their users (they are below).

Should I use a VPN?
The truth of the matter is that it depends.

If you’re using a VPN to protect yourself, yes. VPNs will help you mask your actual physical location but getting all-in is not as simple as just using a VPN. Password Managers (read my post about Password Managers), virtual obfuscated online personas, a privacy focus Operative System should exist for true privacy and secure system virtual world.

Another quite common use is to stream Video Shows that aren’t available in your region; this is how ExpressVPN, and NordVPN, have gotten into the mainstream.

What do I recommend?
Three reasons why I use VPNs: connecting to my company servers, obfuscating my physical location, and Stream Services, which aren’t available in my region.

In my experience, TorGuard Streaming Bundle is the more reliable VPN Service and a residential Dedicated IP will be assigned to you (this is super important as all the top Streaming platforms monitor closely IP numbers to identify and ban those that are used to fake your location).
