I shot this on December 26 2023 at 15:38 – a few minutes after sunset, since we're at 60+ degrees north, at Ustaoset in Norway. Nerd alert: 1/500 f/5.6, ISO8000, 77mm with Sony FE 4/24-105 on Sony A1.
At this point, nerds with some knowledge will question the need for such a short shutter speed and subsequent high ISO; after all, mountains tend not to move much, and both camera and lens have internal stabilisation. But, we're 1200 metres above sea level here, which more often than not adds wind to the equation – in this case 12-15m/s – enough to move a handheld camera about quite a bit. And before you think "tripod!": I was on skis on about a metre of snow, which is not a very stable surface..
