Pixel Perfect Picks #05 - Pink Floyd, Visions, WWDC

Hey there 👋

Welcome to this installment of Pixel Perfect Picks. Here I'm sharing something that I heard, read, and saw. You can subscribe to this newsletter here. I'm additionally publishing a more extended essay about software development, design, and freelancing every month.

Heard Something

During my current moving project, I'm going through many old boxes and items. Among them is my collection of vinyl records. From this stack, I picked out one of my all-time favorite albums, Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here, and was reminded of how great it is.

Read Something

There is currently a tremendous amount happening in the world of technology. There are two visions: one that completely eschews UI and another that fully embraces it. Technology has rarely been as exciting as it is now. Jason Fried encapsulates this ambivalence and tension in his recent post, which I highly recommend checking out!

Saw Something

I could probably fill endless newsletters with news from the WWDC, but today I want to focus on one link in particular. It's all about visionOS and its design. Rarely have I been so excited to learn something new, and I'm already looking forward to sharing my first experiments with it!

Until next time. Keep creating awesome stuff ✌️

If you like these and think someone else might too, please forward it on. They can subscribe to this newsletter right at the top at https://world.hey.com/mrvn. Thank you.

I love working in the realm between design and code. Some things that make me excited are CSS, Interaction design, Javascript, and making interfaces feel fun and human.

Currently, I'm designing & building interfaces at DAYY.  Besides that, I'm teaching UX and UI design at Memorisely.
