Pixel Perfect Picks #102 - Figma Glass, Systems Thinking, New Old Music

Hey there 👋

Welcome to this installment of Pixel Perfect Picks. Here I'm sharing something that I heard, read, and saw. You can subscribe to this newsletter here. I'm additionally publishing a more extended essay about software development, design, and freelancing every month.

Saw Something

Liquid Glass is here. Now also in Figma. After probably every designer has tried to recreate the effect as realistically as possible in Figma over the past few weeks, it is now available directly in Figma. Yes, I know not everyone is a fan of it. But technically, it is incredibly impressive! Feel free to check it out here if you want to know the best way to use the new effect.

Read Something

Yes, I am a big fan of all the AI tools. I find the impact incredibly interesting. However, now and then, it doesn't hurt to critically engage with all these things. This article does a good job of that and raises the question of whether AI has already killed systems thinking.

Heard Something

Recently, I was looking for new music again for work. It's not new, but I was reminded once again how incredibly good this album is. Solace by Rüfüs Du Sol is one of my absolute favorites!
