Pixel Perfect Picks #125 - Clear UI, Figma AI practices, Superwhisper

Hey there 👋

Welcome to this installment of Pixel Perfect Picks. Here I'm sharing something that I heard, read, and saw. You can subscribe to this newsletter here. I'm additionally publishing a more extended essay about software development, design, and freelancing every month.

Saw Something

With the start of the new year, I want to work on my design skills again and take a few things to the next level. Sometimes it's simply about getting new input. At the end of last year I signed up for Clear UI, created by the makers of growth.design. I wasn't surprised, I got exactly what I had hoped for: an incredibly high-quality course with exercises and clear systems that can be applied directly in practice.

Read Something

At the moment, it's increasingly about adapting existing workflows to the new era. That's why it's all the more important to reflect regularly and to try things out. Right now I'm experimenting with new Figma structures and trying to prepare my Figma files as well as possible for interaction with AI tools. There's a helpful list of best practices here.

Heard Something

How awesome would it be if you could finally dictate everything you want to write and have it perfectly formatted as you speak? That's exactly what Superwhisper, a new voice-to-text app I'm currently testing, promises and I'm thrilled! Right now it's definitely my favorite input method. This newsletter was written with it.
