Pixel Perfect Picks #25 - tldraw, State of designers, Rails

Hey there 👋

Welcome to this installment of Pixel Perfect Picks. Here I'm sharing something that I heard, read, and saw. You can subscribe to this newsletter here. I'm additionally publishing a more extended essay about software development, design, and freelancing every month.

Heard Something

I was on Twitter again last week and one thing didn't go unnoticed. Tldraw, a small but nice online whiteboard, has integrated a new AI function. You draw an interface and get code. Feels like the future.

Read Something

Figma has once again published an annual survey asking how designers will work in 2023. Particularly interesting: Remote work is becoming increasingly popular (thank God) and collaboration is an essential part of everyday life.

Saw Something

Although I now spend a lot of time writing Javascript code, I haven't always done that. My first experiences with web applications were with Ruby on Rails. Now the appropriate story of the web framework has appeared on YouTube. Definitely recommended! PS: The newsletter tool here is also powered by Rails!

Until next time. Keep creating awesome stuff ✌️

If you like these and think someone else might too, please forward it on. They can subscribe to this newsletter right at the top at https://world.hey.com/mrvn. Thank you.

About Marvin Messenzehl

I love working in the realm between design and code. Some things that make me excited are CSS, Interaction design, Javascript, and making interfaces feel fun and human.

Currently, I'm designing & building interfaces for the podcast app of RTL +.  Besides that, I'm teaching UX and UI design at Memorisely.
