Pixel Perfect Picks #26 - Browser Sync, Mental Models, Build it Buttons

Hey there đź‘‹

Welcome to this installment of Pixel Perfect Picks. Here I'm sharing something that I heard, read, and saw. You can subscribe to this newsletter here. I'm additionally publishing a more extended essay about software development, design, and freelancing every month.

Heard Something

Last week I came across this tweet on Twitter and shortly afterwards I had what felt like 100 similar demos in my timeline. It's crazy what you can do with the web today!

Read Something

I'm currently reading the second book of Mental Models by Shane Perrish and I'm absolutely thrilled. Rarely has a book triggered so many “clicks” in my head and I’m already looking forward to reading more this evening! The entire series is terrific!

Saw Something

Last week, I mentioned tldraw. This week, it's important to mention the appropriate counterpart in Figma. Jordan Singer has generously shared the code for a Build It Button on GitHub, which you can test. I'm thrilled to see how this project will evolve. It's truly fascinating!

Until next time. Keep creating awesome stuff ✌️

About Marvin Messenzehl

I love working in the realm between design and code. Some things that make me excited are CSS, Interaction design, Javascript, and making interfaces feel fun and human.

Currently, I'm designing & building interfaces at DAYY.  Besides that, I'm teaching UX and UI design at Memorisely.
