Pixel Perfect Picks #38 - Figma Shortcuts, Tales, Blue Zones

Hey there 👋

Welcome to this installment of Pixel Perfect Picks. Here I'm sharing something that I heard, read, and saw. You can subscribe to this newsletter here. I'm additionally publishing a more extended essay about software development, design, and freelancing every month.

Heard Something

Okay, hear me out. I am a huge fan of Figma shortcuts and I would say that I can already shake a good amount of them off the top of my head. And it has probably already saved me a few hours of work in my daily routine. This week, I also found a great way to learn and internalize all these shortcuts. And it's also a lot of fun!

Read Something

Currently, I am taking a Master Class with Margaret Atwood on creative writing, because, well, I not only want to improve my writing skills but also potentially work on my own fiction project in the future. Over the weekend, I read one of Atwood's greatest works: The Handmaid's Tale. It is a dystopian and gripping novel, which also has an interesting TV adaptation that I will catch up on soon!

Saw Something

Turning 100 years old and still being healthy? That sounds like one of the goals that many people have. And there are already some areas in the world where this doesn't seem to be a problem at all. These are described as Blue Zones. And besides some great books on the topic, I also recently watched the Netflix documentary about it, which I can definitely recommend!

Until next time. Keep creating awesome stuff ✌️
