Pixel Perfect Picks #54 - Move AI, CSS, Elden Ring

Hey there 👋

Welcome to this installment of Pixel Perfect Picks. Here I'm sharing something that I heard, read, and saw. You can subscribe to this newsletter here. I'm additionally publishing a more extended essay about software development, design, and freelancing every month.

Heard Something

Last week, I delved deeply into the topic of micro animations. I definitely want to incorporate more of them into our app because I am convinced that they can create small highlights in the user experience. Maybe I'm just hyped about what the new SF Symbols can do. In any case, I came across two small AI tools in Lottie Creator: the Motion Copilot and AI Prompt to Vector. It's pretty crazy that you can now create animations with just a text description. It's not perfect yet, but I find it absolutely brilliant!

Read Something

This time I stumbled upon a blog post that sheds light on many new trends and techniques in CSS and web UI. I completely forgot how outdated my CSS knowledge really is. There are some absolutely fantastic things in there. You can find the whole thing as a blog post from Google IO or directly as a video.

Saw Something

Yes, you caught me. I spent an insane amount of time with the Elden Ring DLC over the weekend, and I have to say that I simply find this game fantastic. For those who haven't had a chance to check it out yet, make sure to do so. One of the greatest games I have ever spent time with!

🎬 PS: I'm on vacation starting Thursday this week. I won't be streaming during my vacation, but we're definitely jumping into some coworking sessions Tuesday and maybe even Wednesday for Config! Twitch Channel

Until next time. Keep creating awesome stuff ✌️
