Heard Something
Even though I share parts of this podcast almost every week, I have to do it again. After my vacation, I listened to this episode of the Dive Club with Mariana Castilho and was absolutely fascinated. She describes her journey of learning to code and how she transitioned from designer to design engineer. For me, it's one of the best episodes of the podcast so far!
Read Something
My Memorisely colleague PG, also known as @sekeidesign, has been working on an app for some time and is now making it public. It is now available on TestFlight, and I am a huge fan! Tomokanji is a practical widget for anyone learning Japanese who wants to keep a Kanji in sight. Congratulations on the launch! I look forward to everything that’s coming!
Saw Something
One of the biggest design changes this year was probably the new Figma UI. I think it’s safe to say that not everyone in the community liked the changes, and there has been a lot of criticism in some areas. Therefore, I find it remarkable how the Figma design team continuously develops the interface and addresses the tough feedback. That is true greatness! It’s also nice to see that even a design team at this level doesn’t always have the same opinion.
