Pixel Perfect Picks #69 - Sable, Complexity, HTML

Hey there 👋

Welcome to this installment of Pixel Perfect Picks. Here I'm sharing something that I heard, read, and saw. You can subscribe to this newsletter here. I'm additionally publishing a more extended essay about software development, design, and freelancing every month.

Heard Something

Bon Iver has released new music again, and it fits perfectly with autumn. I would have liked more songs, but 'Sable' still provides cozy afternoons on rainy days. Ah, Bon Iver, how do you always manage to do this?

Designing for complex systems is a whole different ball game compared to designing 'simple apps'—if such a thing even exists. I believe that at a certain level and with a certain degree of path dependency, every system is complex in its own right. Anyway, in this post by Krisztina Szerovay, I received entirely new insights into thinking about complexity and systems.

Saw Something

Since I'm currently busy with prototyping and want to improve my coding skills, I'm bookmarking every course I can find. Among them is a new, very fresh, and somehow accessible course on HTML. It's perfect for learning the basics and for anyone who finally wants to focus on coding.
