Pixel Perfect Picks #72 - Runnable, Engineering at Slack, Raycast Notes

Hey there 👋

Welcome to this installment of Pixel Perfect Picks. Here I'm sharing something that I heard, read, and saw. You can subscribe to this newsletter here. I'm additionally publishing a more extended essay about software development, design, and freelancing every month.

Heard Something

A new podcast has sneaked into my queue, and it's not a typical design podcast but rather one about running. But it's completely different! 'That's Runnable' by Tommy is an incredibly profound, healthy, and fantastic podcast about running and how to build a healthy relationship with it. Joins me on every run now.

Read Something

I am currently reading an incredible amount about design engineering. I have also discovered how Slack actually approaches design engineering and introduces this role. I am definitely convinced that the role of the designer will change in the coming years, and I am currently absorbing everything related to it!

Saw Something

While scrolling through my feeds weekly, I discovered an exciting new feature in one of my favorite products. Raycast finally has proper notes! With Raycast Notes, we get a sleek and minimalist note-taking tool integrated directly into the Raycast ecosystem. Thank you for that!

Currently, I'm designing & building interfaces for the podcast app of RTL +.  Besides that, I'm teaching UX and UI design at Memorisely.
