Pixel Perfect Picks #79 - Raycast Focus, Imposter Syndrom, Live Sets

Hey there 👋

Welcome to this installment of Pixel Perfect Picks. Here I'm sharing something that I heard, read, and saw. You can subscribe to this newsletter here. I'm additionally publishing a more extended essay about software development, design, and freelancing every month.

Heard Something

By now, you should know that I will post almost every new set from Fred Again here. I will do that again this time. I discovered this set last year, which was played in a small setting before a concert. It's rather calm, but incredibly good. I believe Fred Again will also be a regular feature in this category of the newsletter this year.

Read Something

Yann-Edern Gillet recently started as a designer at Linear and provided a glimpse behind the scenes in a blog post. It’s fascinating to see how a team operates at this level. Additionally, it serves as a good reminder that imposter syndrome is an issue we all struggle with from time to time. I feel the same way!

Saw Something

Raycast is by far the tool I use the most in my daily work! Now, there's a small but great addition: Raycast Focus. It's a very simple yet incredibly effective focus timer that can also block certain applications if desired. For me, it's already one of the highlights of this year!
