Pixel Perfect Picks #87 - Coding Sounds, New Things, Tailwind Tricks

Hey there 👋

Welcome to this installment of Pixel Perfect Picks. Here I'm sharing something that I heard, read, and saw. You can subscribe to this newsletter here. I'm additionally publishing a more extended essay about software development, design, and freelancing every month.

Heard Something

Currently, I'm not playing a playlist, but rather a YouTube channel on repeat: Cosmic Hippo. I'm not exactly sure why, but I can concentrate so well and get into the flow with no other music like this. It was also a good reminder for me that late-night coding sessions definitely have their own vibe!

Read Something

There will always be something new. With these few words, Jason Fried has captured my current feelings about the AI topic very well in one of his recent posts. I currently perceive an extreme FOMO in our industry. But to be honest, Jason hits the nail on the head. There will always be something new. However, we should rather ask ourselves what will actually remain. And above all: What is needed for that.

Saw Something

Even though I have been working with TailwindCSS for prototyping for a while now, I am still surprised by how much more there is to learn. This small but excellent course definitely has some brilliant moments and has taught me many useful workflows!

About Marvin Messenzehl

I love working in the realm between design and code. Some things that make me excited are CSS, Interaction design, Javascript, and making interfaces feel fun and human.

Currently, I'm designing & building interfaces for the podcast app of RTL +.  Besides that, I'm teaching UX and UI design at Memorisely.
