Pixel Perfect Picks #90 - PM Podcasts, Contrast Checks, Amsterdam in spring

Hey there 👋

Welcome to this installment of Pixel Perfect Picks. Here I'm sharing something that I heard, read, and saw. You can subscribe to this newsletter here. I'm additionally publishing a more extended essay about software development, design, and freelancing every month.

Heard Something

Lenny's Podcast is truly one of the podcasts that is currently advancing my knowledge in design, engineering, and product management immensely. With the new episode featuring Ryan Singer, there was another deep dive into one of my absolute favorite frameworks. So, if anyone wants to learn more about Shape Up and a little more besides, I wholeheartedly recommend this episode.

Read Something

In the release notes from Figma, I discovered one of my new favorite features: a simple contrast checker. It is so well integrated into Figma that it offers some nice advantages, such as a small curve that allows you to see in advance which colors would pass a contrast check.

Saw Something

Over the weekend, I took a short city trip to Amsterdam (hence the delayed newsletter release), and I can tell you: Amsterdam in spring is one of the best things Europe has to offer. An incredible city with plenty of amazing experiences!
