Beth was quick to get up and at ‘um this morning. She was showering shortly after seven. So I went downstairs and grabbed breakfast first. It was a cup of coffee for me and a cinnamon and sugar Richy Kreme doughnut. There were enough Richy Kreme’s for Ella, Paige, and Lydia so that inspired them to get quickly ready for church.

Beth and Ella were in Pre-K this morning, and I was in Pre-Teen with Paige. Today we made a point to setup small group rosters for our Pre-Teens, and that process went well. I’d built my teaching lesson around the small groups, and the kids were so attentive during the entire time. My fellow adult leaders all thought things went well too.

After Pre-Teen, I met Beth in our 4BOW Community Group. Dave Greer spoke today on simple ways to disciple our families, and his talk was so encouraging. I was also so impressed by his quiet manner of speaking. He spoke quietly and calmly which made everyone focus and lean in to listen. As he led us in discussion, we all shared so many great ideas and stories. I came away from the time inspired for to press forward in my own role with Beth to shepherd our children.

This afternoon, Beth and I both worked in the yard. I trimmed the edges with my weed eater. Then I mowed the lawn. Meanwhile Beth weeded our flower beds. Afterwards, I got out the blower and blew all the trimmings into our yard. Everything looked so nice once we were finished.

I got a shower in after my yard work. Then I went to Aldi to pick up some groceries for tonight’s dinner. Back home I fixed eggs and smoothies for everyone. After dinner we all gathered in the bonus room to watch another episode of The Chosen.
