I started my day in Tom Moore’s Wednesday morning Bible Study. Tim Munyon led us in a discussion of The Lord’s Supper. He ended our time by actually serving Communion to us. Having just discussed its significance and reading about it in the Bible, this made taking the sacrament especially significant.

Back home I saw Beth and the girls off with Beth commenting that she would be back to work at home. Then I got started working. As the morning wore on and still no Beth, I figured she got pulled into things “at the office”. She did eventually make it back for a bit, and I joined her for an early lunch.

This evening we met Max and Betty at Taziki’s to celebrate Paige’s upcoming birthday. Since they’ll be gone camping for the next few weeks, this was the only time they could get together with us. So we squeezed in an early dinner before Paige and Lydia had Awanas and Ella’s first small group meeting of the fall semester.

Just before we sent Paige and Lydia off with Nana and Grandaddy, Beth did the girls’ hair up for Crazy Hair Night. They both loved their hairdos. I snapped a photo.

We are hosting Ella’s small group this year. Once again Ms Lisa and Ms Patti are leading group. They arrived along with everyone else around six-thirty. After they got settled in, I went for a long walk while Beth did some online shopping for Paige’s birthday.

Around a quarter till seven, I went to pick up Paige and Lydia. On the way home I connected my phone to our rental van’s entertainment system. It was the first time I’d ever connected my phone to a CarPlay interface. We all admired the cool display.
