Hi Professor,
My name is....I graduated 2011 with a BFA with Fibers/Weaving specialization. I am interested in pursuing a Masters, and stumbled upon......while researching certifications in Somatic healing. Ceramics saved my hands and arms from nerve damage. My thesis in 2011 was based on mindfulness and Vippassana. Now that it's popular, I became suddenly aware that not everyone was doing it all this time. I worked on film/tv, big union productions. I've been an interior designer mostly. Although the joy of it died for me a few years ago. I used to love fashion, too. My family are still cotton farmers in the panhandle. My adopted fathers cousins. I don't have a birth family. Turns out, doesn't matter. Astrology taught me way more than my parents ever pondered in the last 75 years. I went to prison for marajuana oil, the kind you rub on your muscles after a motorcycle accident heading to Ukiah from the Bay. I'm a single mother. My son is Joy Pure and True. Does any of this sound random? It is. Chaos. And yet there is a thread that runs through it all. There is Art. Tradgedy. Pain. Journey through time alone and not ever alone after coming to understanding of the thread that runs and the stitch that binds, the one that saves nine only took a moment in time. Children could avoid much suffering if given the knowledge of their birthright. I want to start somewhere. Interdisciplinary Arts in Action, a degree that says I know a thing or two about which I am telling.
.....Masters hopeful
