Switching Ideas

Sometimes, when my brain gets an idea
I eagerly dive into it
Following it almost single-mindedly
Until a new idea comes along
And pulls me away

This is not always a problem
Unless a project remains unfinished
And I never regain the momentum
To finish it

Someday
When I sit atop my mountain of unfinished projects
Maybe I'll plunge my hand in,
Dig around until I find something
That jolts me like a bolt of electricity
And finish it
