TLDR: Pay attention to the region set for the AWS web console.
I’ve been deploying all of my sample projects using various AWS services like S3 static hosting and Amplify.
Today I wanted to review the Amplify setup. I logged into the AWS console but when I navigated to the service page the ‘getting started’ splash screen appeared like I had never setup the service before. Huh?
I double checked that the site was still live and that the GitHub integration was indeed present.
The Oracle of Google showed pointed me to the tag editor to view all of my provisioned services. Once I found some of the pieces (Amplify is just a collection of different services) I realized that my AWS console was pointed at the Central/ca-central-1 region instead of Ohio/us-east 2. I changed the drop down and viola! All my resources were found :)
