LYF | Atlas mission at the Parikrma Learning Ctr

I will begin with my favourite photo first - not because I'm in it, but because how I felt when K clicked it.

I'm with students S&J at the Parikrama Learning Ctr., here in Bengaluru. And I have just been given this beautiful card drawn by students - welcoming us and saying thank you.

Parikrma Foundation runs learning centres for children from low-income groups across Bengaluru. They also run a college. I was introduced to them by my colleague, K, who has worked there previously and was keen on us taking the Atlas Mission app to them!

I got to know that this particular centre received 330 children daily who are fed three meals (including a snack before they go home), and taught by some amazing teachers. I was there for nearly 2 hours walking through the corridors, climbing the floors and glancing into lively classrooms. The campus is spotless, and shining.

I found everyone smiling. Everyone. And, you know when a smile is real! There were no formal gestures by teachers towards me. I was a fly on the wall, walking through with one of their colleagues learning about this beautiful space they've created.

And then, I saw this. Terrace - their library. This was the halt. I just stood and took the colour in. I found myself thinking - wow - Atlas Mission gels in - kids from all over the world are creating as colourful as vibrant designs over the app. I stood here thinking how kids are going to feel just at home playing and having fun with the app and creating their own magic.

The art folks love umbrellas here. I also found a space for the mothers who like to come and carry out their needlework, a space for kids who need counselling - the cozy room, and then floors of classrooms.

The Learning Yogi Foundation has opened up a sponsorship program to enable free access to the Atlas Mission program. The program is listing partners such as the incredible Parikrma Foundation across the country! Parikrma was one of the five partners we onboarded this March.
