On Monday, I walked from Allihies to Eyeries. I ended up combining portions of the Beara way with the Beara Bicycle Route.
I first walked up in the hills behind Allihies past the Mountain Mine Man Engine House.
I then followed a trail down to the coastal road and walked along the roadside for about five miles.

Looking over towards the Kerry peninsula.

I then figured out in my trail notes that the coastal route mentioned wasn’t necessarily the bike route, so I climbed back up to the Beara Way.
The first part followed old mining roads alongside the mountainside.

The rest of the route followed old sheep trails. The clouds were low and it was a bit misty at times.
Tuesday I spent in the village of Eyeries.
