The kids looking at the "view of the pyramids" as the locals call it, north from the village of Mojacar (the "pyramids" - small hills - are actually out of sight, although the kids are sat on one).
Days like today are what a relaxing Morse family holiday is all about. We simply chilled in the sunshine, reading, watching YouTube, playing video games (kids, of course), kept the dog amused, a bit of work to keep the worrying at bay (me), a bit of running for Faye, and then a meal out to end it.
Our meal was in a pizza place in the Plaza Nueva up in Mojacar Pueblo, a casual restaurant with a sunset roof terrace, although they suggested we abandon the terrace as we just missed the sunset even at 7pm, and it was cold up there (we weren't though, we'd hiked up the steep hill).
So we all tucked, in a small, busy dining room, around a table with Skye safe underneath it, placated by the occasional morsels fed to her from above. Pizzas all round, tiramisu and the like for dessert, and very friendly staff made for a great final night.
Dylan has been saying lovely things, like "Do you ever think about how lucky we are to be alive?", and "Sometimes when you're on holiday you love your life, and sometimes you don't, but I love mine right now!"
As usual, Faye and I sat (with the cat) for a while in the chilly evening reading before turning in. Home tomorrow...
