The Ultimate Human Race - I'm running Comrades for Lambano

“Children were not designed to die.”
Lyn Croote, Executive Director of Lambano Sanctuary
The Cause: Located in Malvern East, a district of Johannesburg, Lambano Sanctuary see if there is anything more they can do to lengthen a sick child’s life. They specialise in providing holistic care to children who suffer with a life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, renal, cardiac, brain damage, burns, muscular dystrophy and respiratory problems, as well as support for their families.

The Race (on June 9): The Comrades Marathon is the world's largest and oldest ultramarathon of approximately 88 kilometres which is run annually in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa between the cities of Durban and Pietermaritzburg. I’m aiming to complete the 55 mile uphill race in under 9 hours.

The Aim: I'm aiming to raise £5000 (ZAR 100,000) to help fund:
  • Medication
  • Medical disposables
  • PPE – Gloves, Aprons, Hats and Booties
  • Alcohol spray and Hand wash
  • Milk Formulas
  • Nappies
  • Groceries

Lambano is a non-profit organisation and receives no funding from government. It is totally dependent on sponsorship and donations to cover their operational costs.

As a Together For Cinema inspired activity, I will also be installing an upgraded media room at Lambano for the children and families to enjoy.  Thank you to corporate sponsors Planetworld, HDANYWHERE and OneAV.

🇬🇧I’ve created a GoFundMe page so you can more easily DONATE in £GBP here.

🇿🇦 Prefer to donate in ZAR? Please use this link DONATE HERE and all donations will go direct to Lambano Sanctuary.

Thank you so much for your support 🙏🏻

Big love
