One customer per state

I'm on the verge of laughing a new service. The initial price I'm testing is $349 per month. It's a little daunting because it's unknown if it'll work out or not.

But I can try. And if it works, and I can get to an average of one customer per state, the gross revenue is over $200k per year. I don't say that arrogantly, nor out of greed, but that would go a long way to helping catch my family up financially after a difficult journey of working on an underfunded nonprofit for several years.

Putting things in perspective is key. Getting 50 customers for a new service isn't as easy as it sounds. But it's also not that much for a relatively large market (healthcare). The one thing I know I'll struggle with is hearing "no" many more times than "yes." I'm not great at sales.

But I can try. And I've gotten deep enough into this stuff that it's easier to position my outreach as "I have something that can help you" versus "you should buy this thing." It's less gross feeling to me.

Anyway, this post is mostly to keep a record of what I'm feeling before pushing this thing out into the world. I'll share more updates as time goes on.
