Observation: people who have different points of view than me are generally a lot more pleasant to interact with offline than online.
I live in a downtown area that has people from all walks of life. I'm friends with neighbors who don't see things how I do, and vice versa. But we're still friends.
It's sad how we, as a society, can figure out how to respect each other in person but have no qualms about eviscerating each other from behind a screen.
